Varnished Wood Panelling and Mantle

Varnished wood panelling with curved shelf carved with fleur de lis, grapes and birds throughout. "This panelling presented by Miss J.B. McLeod and Miss Gladys Curry daughters of the late John Curry Esq. of Windsor to the Officers of the Essex Scottish Regiment In Memory of their father as a tribute to the sacrificial Gallantry of those who fall in the service of their king and empire 1st January 1944", engraved brass plaque in centre. Upon the Regiment moving to other quarters or being disbanded the panelling should continue to be the property of the officers or return to the heirs of John Curry.
