Varnished wood panel edged in gold and black with brass cross in each corner, two brass relief panels on top. L panel is of a fallen, nude man with angels standing over him, "In Grateful Recognition of the Valourous Sacrifice and Patriotism of the Members of this Mess. Who Serving in the Great War for King and Country fell in triumphant defense of Civilization and Empire 1914-1918". bR panel of names: "Major F.E. Aytoun, Capt C.L.F. Ambery, Capt J.G. Helliwell, Capt JH McDairmid, Capt A.E. Mercer, Capt J.S. Wear, Lieut B.J. Bates, Lieut F.C. Beers, Lieut F.W. Cole, Lieut E.B. Henderson, Lieut C.W. Hoare, Lieut L.G. Hutton, Lieut J.
