Brass Relief Essex Scottish Crest & WW II Battles
(1939-1945)
Bronze relief depicts Essex Scottish crest with beams emitting, hand reach out toward dove flying overhead with branch in its beak, "Dieppe IFS Varriers, Antwerp, Westende, Bains, Elbeuf, Grosbeck, Goch-Calcar, Hochwald, Zanten, Assen, Groningen", in relief along outside edges. "Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God 1939-1945", engraved panel on right side. "To honour and perpetuate the memory of the men of the Essex Scottish Regiment who paid the supreme sacrifice in the second world war 1939-1945 their names are inscribed in this book of remembrance", in relief at bottom.
