Rectangular brass plaque with three maple leaf motifs in each corner, scroll-like edges around inscription. "Honour Roll of 21st Essex Fusiliers for the defence / of our empire 'Come the three corners of the world in arms / And we shall shock them: / Naught shall make us rue / If England to herself do rest but true.' King John Act V", "God Save the Queen", "Oct 1899", "Erected by the daughters of the regiment". Names of 17 of 18 soldiers of the Essex Fusiliers who served with The Royal Canadian Regiment in South Africa 1899-1900.
