Queen's Colour: Red and white Canadian-like flag with gold and red fringe, crown, "The Essex and Kent Scottish" in C of maple leaf; gold and red tassel" attached to gold flag pole. Lion's head ornament on top of flag pole. Regimental Colour: Dark blue flag of crown above shield with three sabres and unicorn with maple leafs and thistle to either side, "The Essex & Kent Scottish" around shield, "Semper Paratus" under motif, surrounded by yellow floral wreath. On L side: "Somme 1916-18"; Vimy 1917"; "Passchendale"; "Hindenberg Line"; "Pursuit to Mons"; "Bourguebus Ridge"; "The Scheldt"; "Goch-Calcar Road"; "Xanten"; "Oldenberg". On R Side: “Ypres”; "Flers-Courcellette"; Hill 70"; "Amiens"; "Cambrai 1918"; "Dieppe"; "Falaise"; "South Beveland"; "The Hochwald"; "Groningen". Gold and blue fringe and gold and blue tassel.
