Framed Mural of Old Bill, from wall of old Armouries

Black pen and ink wash of man's head on jessoed wood, "Once upon a time Bruce Bairnsfather 12.31" in black bottom edge. Mural painted on cement wall on Officers' Mess of the old University Avenue armouries. The original painting was unable to be moved in 2004 when the new armoury on Sandwich Street opened. Photograph in original size by Reg. St. Louis in May 2004 and displayed in Long Room, Tilston Armoury in 2005. Brass plaque mounted alongside frame. Framed in plain wood. Plaque explains this change.
The original painting on the wall of the old armouries was saved during renovation by the University of Windsor and currently is in a 2nd floor office.
