18TH BATTALION, CANADIAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE 1914-1919
Those interested in learning more about the 18th Battalion are encouraged to search the blog below created by Eric Edwards. Eric's grandfather, William Robb Dewar from Galt, Ontario joined the 18th Battalion as one of the "originals" in 1914 serving in Europe until his final wounding and illness in the summer of 1917. His blog began as a family project but has grown to record and reflect the experiences of all the men of the 18th. Through research, letters, news articles and other sources his blog attempts to reflect some measure of the duty and sacrifice of these men so that we can remember them.
